The TV show “The show with the mouse” about the Jewish painter Felix Nussbaum has been nominated for the 62nd Grimme Prize in the Children & Youth category.
TrickStudio produced the short film PIT & PEGG’S NIGHT ADVENTURE for this episode, which is based on a script and sketches by the artist, who was murdered in a concentration camp in 1944.

On the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27, a special SENDUNG MIT DER MAUS will be broadcast on Sunday. The painter Felix Nussbaum, who was murdered in the Auschwitz concentration camp, will be remembered as a representative of the many millions of victims of National Socialism.Together with WDR, we have realized an animated film he planned 90 years ago: Pit and Pegg’s dream journey!

As part of the “Cologne Cinema Nights (Kölner Kino Nächte)”, in cooperation with the “jfc Medienzentrum” and with the kind support of WDR, we will be showing a selected short film program for young viewers (recommended for ages 6 and up). Our production supervisor Christian Asmussen will be on hand to give an insight into the production of animated films and answer any questions.
